Kim Porter

Kim knew at a young age that she wanted to design products inspired by humans.
She carries a Bachelors of Science in Engineering Science and Mechanics, with an emphasis in Biomedical Engineering from Iowa State University. Early in her career she worked on designs for NASA spacesuits at ILC Dover and footwear in Nike’s first engineering lab.
Kim’s extensive experience with product design and engineering includes work with Starbucks, Nike, and Intel which were just a few of her clients during her tenure at Ziba Design. Kim founded HatchOne to apply her strategic thinking and engineering strengths to the entrepreneurial arena and more recently founded The Engineering Exchange to build an engineering community to share knowledge and teach. Whos goal of 40 years in engineering and leadership is to help get great products to market by productizing innovative concepts that save companies money and time.
